If you are considering a gift to the parish or school, you may want professional help to assist you. If you do not have an attorney or other professional, you may easily find one in any conventional manner, including recommendations from family or friends. You may also want to consider this list to assist you in finding a professional for your purpose. The Legacy Advisory Council’s “Professional Committee” prepared this list. We naturally relied on the fact that most of these individuals are licensed by the state. Some of the committee members know or are familiar with their work. Also we have obtained an information sheet on each one. We tried to include professionals with varying skills and experience because some tasks are less complicated than others.
In any case, the list is prepared to help you in choosing someone. The information sheet for each of these professionals is available to you with this list. You will be creating a special relationship with one of these professionals in hiring him or her. You will be responsible for the professional’s fees. The professional will be responsible to you, not to us. They are not obligated to us nor are we to obligated to them. We have specifically informed all professionals on this list that they should remain independent of us and objective regarding your gift and best interests. As with any other provider of services you hire, it is your satisfaction that counts. If you don’t get a good fit, there are other choices.
This list was last updated in July, 2010.
